A journey through time, Al-Hijr is a place of unforgettable archaeological wonders. Known as the “Silent City,” this site invites visitors to explore the rich history of Al-Ula, located in the heart of the desert. It was the first UNESCO World Heritage site in Saudi Arabia, listed in 2008, and its history dates back to the mid-1st century BC to around the 2nd century AD. Al-Hijr is famous for over 110 tombs carved by the Nabateans to bury their high-status individuals.
